You’ve heard the term ‘multi-centre’ and ‘twin centre’ when looking for holidays but do you really understand it? Our automatic thought process often means we think ‘twin’ or ‘multi’ could be expensive or certainly more than your usual holiday costs. Many airlines now offer ‘open jaw’ tickets meaning that you can fly into one location, and back from another with the cost staying relatively similar.
So why visit one location with one set of memories when you can double the memories, double the experience and double the fun in one unforgettable holiday? Teaming up a city break or a safari with 5/6 days on the beach is becoming more and more popular.
Here’s our 2013 ‘hot list’ of multi-centre holidays available today.
Dubai and Mauritius – Visit the fast moving and luxurious city of Dubai before winding down with a few days on a beach in Mauritius. This combination puts together two classic locations in one breath-taking trip.
Safari and Zanzibar– For many years Africa has been world renowned for its majestic safari experience. A few days ‘big five’ watching teamed up with the pristine beaches and fine wines of Zanzibar, is a combination not to be missed.
Africa and Dubai – Not everyone wants to go on holiday to fully relax and some people love looking for an adventure. Imagine one day walking through jungles in Uganda trying to locate mountain gorillas and the next drinking cocktails like James Bond at the Atlantis Palm, Dubai. Doesn’t get much better than that!
South Africa and Mauritius – Find yourself driving down the Western Cape and route 62 (longest wine route in South Africa) visiting iconic places like Franschhoek and Wellington before finishing at Port Elizabeth. Along the way you can experience safaris, wine tasting and the panoramic views of this amazing coast line, before heading off to Mauritius to relax on the palm fringed beaches.
Caribbean – With so many beautiful islands in one area you can see the hustle and bustle of Kingston, and then head to the ports of the Bahamas for sugar white beaches.
Dubai and the Maldives – Instead of Mauritius, how about the Maldives as your beach preference? – Designer shops and neon skylines to sea planes and some of the world’s best diving locations – Perfect!
South America – Macchu Picu in Peru for an adventure on one day, and the Galapagos Islands seeing rare wildlife on the next. South America is an up and coming location full of vibrant destinations, that have managed to keep their authenticity and soul.
USA and Canada – From the beaches of Miami and Florida to the Rocky Mountaineer train journey in Canada. Skiing, beaches, iconic buildings and breath-taking views are just some of the things you’ll see on a USA and Canada multi centre.
