It’s time to embrace the winter cold and get ready for the upcoming ski season ahead of us. Here’s our pick of our favourite ski destinations.

France

You are spoilt for choice for a ski season in France. The French Alps continue to be ever popular for holidaymakers with various destinations to choose from such as Chamonix, Meribel, Verbier, Zermatt, Val Thorens and more! One of our favourite ski resorts is Courchevel 1850.

Of the Three Valleys, Courchevel 1850 has one of the world’s most extensive ski areas and has lift system links to Meribel and Val Thorens. Courchevel is a glamorous resort and has been the choice for the rich and famous including members of the Royal family Prince William and Kate Middleton.

 

Austria

St Anton

St Anton in Austria offers unparalleled après ski and plenty of opportunity for off piste skiing. St Anton is an ideal place for experienced skiers and is considered to be the ultimate mecca for snowboarding.

 

Italy

Cortina

Without doubt, Cortina is the go to ski destination in Italy. Set in the Dolomites, Cortina offers some of the most spectacular mountain scenery and is one of the most picturesque resorts in the Italian Alps.

 

Switzerland

St Moritz

Enjoy the Swiss Alps up high from St Moritz, located in Engadine Valley. St Moritz is ideal for those seeking high altitude and glacier skiing. One particular highlight of St Moritz is the frozen lake which is used for the expected – ice skating, curling and the unexpected – horse racing, greyhound racing and golf!
