If it’s good enough for the rich and famous then it’s good enough for me! Travel can often be inspired by where our favourite celebrities have set foot. Maybe they’ve walked on the same beach or sipped a cocktail from the same hotel bar? One thing you can guarantee is that all the hotels have exceptional levels of luxury for the ultimate holiday experience.
Here’s my top ten celebrity hot spot hotels:
Located in high class region of Puglia, this stunning 5* hotel is where Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel exchanged wedding vows. Beautiful white stone walls, ancient olive trees and hanging lanterns greet you on arrival. The hotel is also flanked by a fantastic 18th hole golf course.
Jennifer Anniston, George Clooney and Brad Pitt, are just a few of an extensive list of famous people venturing to this hotel. Las Ventanas is a very popular hotel choice and one of the most luxurious in Mexico.
Reminiscent of the world famous Burj Al Arab in Dubai (seen later) and becoming famous for hosting celebrities. Shakira, Eva Mendes and members of the FC Barcelona team have all stayed here. True to W hotel form it’s filled with vibrant colours and a 26th Floor nightclub called Eclipse. You might find yourself dancing with the stars.
British Actor and Presenter Jamie Theakston stayed at The House in Barbados. This adult only resort isn’t the only Barbados hot spot though, because Simon Cowell is well known to love visiting Barbados.
Small, Luxurious and situated in a wonderful part of Thailand. Nestled within a tropical rainforest, you’ll get the benefits of scenic landscapes and beautiful sea views. Kate Moss and Kevin Bacon have been known to test out this stunning hotel.
Superstar Matt Damon decided to hire the whole resort to renew his wedding vows at a cool £375,000. Guests included international superstars George Clooney (yes him again), Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Located in Soufriere with picturesque views of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea, this 5* hotel is one of the best .
Does it get any more famous than the Raffles Hotel in Singapore? Has an iconic place in Singapore’s history, and legendary figures such a Ernest Hemingway have hung out in the Long Bar (Where the Singapore Sling was invented). Sir Ranulph Fiennes called the hotel his favourite for its colonial charm.
The Beckham’s spent last Christmas holidaying at the Only and Only Reethi Rah. The former England football hero whisked the family off to what is widely regarded as one of the finest resorts in the Maldives.
Kylie Minogue and Natalie Imbruglia have both enjoyed the surroundings of the Shanti Ananda. The 5 star top rated resort is one of Mauritius’ best.
Possibly the most recognisable hotel in modern times (the one with the tennis court on the roof), the Burj Al Arab was crafted in 96,000 sqf of gold leaf, marble and crystal. It also has its own submarine ride to an underwater restaurant. Super model Claudia Schiffer, billionaire Richard Branson and tennis super star Venus Williams have all graced this amazing hotel.
