It is not theft as when you check in at most hotels, and everyone in the US, you sign a form and hand over your credit card, authorising the hotel to debit any sums owing. Clearly the hotel discovered the voucher the customers had given them was worthless and in a typically American way, 'protected their own back.'
The real problem with Hotel Connect was that it proudly advertised it was a member of ABTA without also advertising the fact they had chosen, and ABTA had allowed,it to operate without providing any financial protection. ABTA changed its rules 5 years ago to allow companies, who do not sell package holidays which must by law be protected, to opt out of ABTA protection schemes, one of the matters ABTA doesn't seem so keen on promoting

It's not always possible to defuel a plane, it depends if the fuel company is equipped to do so. The only other way is to start the plane up and let the engines burn the fuel, this would take many hours to burn 10 tons (atleast 10) and not very environmentally friendly.

It was ridiculous that the captain forced people off and said that they’d be arrested! What ever next??? They should’ve drained the aircraft of the extra fuel, it’s nothing new if the flight got a little delayed.

Good job the 2018 World Cup is going to Russia! To put it mildly the Russians can afford this extravaganza and by 2018, the Russians will not have an infrastructure of stadiums which are on the whole over 10 years old!

Mr. David Cameron, shame on you for wasting your time. The Russian President Mr. Putin clearly has his priorities right. He didn’t attend today because he decided to stay at home and tend to more pressing matters like the state of Healthcare in Russia.

Possible with no further pointless distractions, maybe now you can do your job and concentrate on sorting out the mess caused by the recently bonus bankers and Cafcass.

Please Mr. Cameron concentrate on the children…

Even after just returning from an exhilerating trip to China, including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, (where I suspect my 6' stature and red hair caused a flurry of requests for photo ops with me , but not really sure) and then to a Panda Breeding Center near Chengdu, my heart still longs for the high-altitude metropolis of Cusco, Peru. Not just because it is but a mere 4.5 hours from Machu Picchu.
If I never ventured a foot on the enigmatic Inca ruins, I love the energy of the small town/big city feel of Cusco, with museums, cathedrals, indigenous shopping markets, "mountain chic" shopping and more kinds of restaurants than I can describe, all in one convenient location. The proximity to Chinchero, the town of historical weaving co-ops, the Sacred Valley with day hikes at Pisac or the terraced salt ponds, and the potential for a long weekend to the highlands, to explore the living Floating Reed Islands on Lake Titicaca, offer everything that humans desire to be inspired, comfortable & happy.
