How about Hawaii for honeymoons?

Anyone booking their honeymoon soon is likely to be spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful, romantic destinations – there are just so many places in the world to consider.

However, the governor of Hawaii suggests that the Aloha state could be perfect for that all-important break after the wedding.

Speaking at a press conference in Taipei on Monday (November 17th), Linda Lingle said that the coming months could be a perfect time to visit Hawaii because the archipelago is celebrating its 50th anniversary of statehood in 2009 and there will be many celebrations to commemorate this.

“People think of coming to Hawaii when honeymoons, anniversaries and important things come up. Hawaii provides visitors with its rich cultures, including the native Hawaiian culture and great values,” she commented, according to Taiwan News.

Hawaii is well-known as being home to one of the world’s most active volcanoes – Mauna Loa – and the world’s tallest sea mountain.

It is also widely regarded as being one of the most laid back places in the world, thanks to its surfing and hula background.

And, according to tourism site Go Hawaii, the temperature in Hawaii is currently around 72 degrees F.

Well, we’re convinced – are you?
