Three weeks later…Qantas are happy with safety checks…

Three weeks ago, one of Qantas’s A380 superjumbo air buses experienced some problems and was forced to make an unscheduled landing when passengers heard a bang and saw sparks fly from one of the engines. After grounding all 6 of the airbuses for three weeks they are now satisfied with their safety checks…

… However… Air France and Emirates didn’t react to this incident in such a manner and continued use of their air buses.

Qantas and Rolls – Royce are now working together to get the entire fleet back into action.

The airbus is scheduled to fly the London route on Saturday from Sydney to Heathrow.

Do you think that Qantas were right to be so careful with competitors not taking the same action…?
