Eye of Africa – Mauritania

Known as the ‘Eye of the Sahara’ it lies within the in the African country of Mauritania, in the Sahara Desert. Salar de Uyuni – Bolivia

When covered by water Salar de Uyuni becomes a mirror, and anyone walking across it appears to be walking on clouds. The salt crust, which covers 10,583 square kilometres in southwestern Bolivia is 11,995 feet above sea level. Salar de Uyuni’s origins lie in prehistoric lakes; it is a major breeding ground for several species of flamingos.

Death Valley’s ‘Sailing Stones’ – California

The moving rocks all are geological phenomenon where rocks move in long tracks along a smooth valley floor without human or animal intervention. With hardly any information on anyone seeing them move, the speed they move with is also up for debate.

Great Blue Hole – Belize

The great blue hole is a spell bounding sink-hole off the coast of Belize in a place called Lighthouse Reef. The sense of isolation and remoteness adds to the mystery, with its first piece of recorded history in the early 16th century. The reefs around Belize are some of the best in the Caribbean and even have a glowing endorsement from Charles Darwin himself.

El Hotel del Salto in Colombia was built in 1924 but then abandoned in the 90’s. Horsetail Falls, Yosemite National Park – California

Another California offering, but this time it’s situated in Yosemite National Park. If Horsetail Fall is flowing and the weather conditions are just right, the setting sun illuminates the waterfall, making it glow orange and red. Luxury Resort in Krausnick – Germany.

Ok so it’s maybe not that mysterious, but something slightly odd about the setting for this luxury resort. The ‘resort’ is located on the site of a former Soviet military air base in Krausnick, Germany.

A Tropical Island has been built inside hangar originally used to house airships, and despite it looking like temperatures are through the roof outside the giant hangar it is actually snowing.

10,000 Year Old Cave Paintings Of Aliens – India.

Our final offering takes us back to India and the Charama region, where people claim that 10,000 year old pre-historic paintings are proof that aliens visited earth. Stories from ancestors include the “rohela people” (the small sized ones) – who used to land from sky in a round shaped flying object and take away one or two persons from the village who never returned.

Some strange phenomenons above, but which one is the most mysterious? Let us know…
