Dubai, The Height of Luxury!

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

With Dubai being one of the most luxurious places on the planet offering the height of luxury in some of the world’s finest hotels and resorts I wanted to find out the ultimate hotel where every need is catered for. This task proved harder than my initial thoughts with all the majority of hotels and resorts rewarded 5 stars it’s hard to pick out the best.

However it became obvious that the iconic Burj al Arab hotel is well known across the world for providing the height of luxury, with an underwater seafood restaurant which can only be reached by a three minute submarine journey this hotel is hard to beat! Only offering a variety of seven suites the royal suite is the most opulent.  As luxury is the theme the royal suite of this hotel offers a private elevator and private cinema, a master bed room with rotating four poster canopy bed, marble and gold staircase! It really is luxurious!  The hotel was designed to resemble the graceful sails of an Arabian dhow, and dominated the coastline. Arrive in a chauffer driven Rolls Royse or by private helicopter and live like a star!

Bringing us back down to earth with a bump, Dubai is a fantastic destination offering many attractions, including some of the best golf clubs in the world, a polo academy, swimming with dolphins, shooting clubs, dune bashing and more you may not spent a whole lot of time in your hotel, (no matter how luxurious)

With the weather being glorious all year round it is a must holiday destination. At Holidays Please we provide many of these luxury hotels and Dubai holidays, but with such a variety you may benefit fro some expert advice. Fill in an enquiry now and a member of our sales team will be in touch.

Family Holidays- Heaven or Hell?

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010
A family holiday should be a fun, relaxing and stress-free time for everyone in the family. Or is it? According to Teletext Holidays, a study of 2,000 mums revealed that going on holiday with the children is even more stressful than a 9-5 job. One in four mums said how packing, travelling and keeping the kids busy is more hard work than actually working. Four in ten mums fear taking a holiday break and avoid going abroad due to all the worry and trouble it causes. A further 36% complained how a lack of help from their partners also causes friction and rows with 80% of mums needing another holiday when they return.
As a result, the poll found that half of the mums surveyed will only book a holiday at a place which offers a kids club, on-site entertainment and a maid service in order to make the holiday as relaxing as possible. Having said this, 52% said how they still end up having to wash dishes, 43% end up cooking and 73% even admitted to cleaning up their hotel room before the maid came so that they don’t come across as messy. These figures highlight how important choosing the right holiday is for all members of the family. Travelling with children can be a burden but choosing an all-inclusive family-friendly resort offering kids clubs, babysitters and maid services can help ease the strain, leaving you to switch-off and enjoy the holiday you deserve. So why not let us help you find the perfect family-friendly resorts wherever you wish to go for your next family holiday. Our friendly dedicated travel experts will be delighted to assist in making your next family holiday as stress-free as possible.

Dubai Palace Hotel in the shadow of the world’s tallest building!

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

I have just come back from dubai and stayed at the Palace Hotel. It is has pretty dramatic location based at the base of the Burj Dubai which is the world’s tallest building.

Not that the hotel needs anything to make it any more dramatic. At the front you are greeted by a beautiful rectangular pond surrounded by palm trees. At night it looks fantastic…

The rooms are spacious and well designed. Ours had a nice work desk and beautiful bathroom with twin sinks
Tasteful and spacious bedrooms

To the rear of the hotel is a well sized swimming pool which looks out on to the lagoon underneath the Burj Dubai. From here you can enjoy the evening water fountain show.

One great tip if you like a tipple for Dubai is to stock up on duty free. Although you can buy alcohol in most hotels it tends to be quite expensive.
